LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA

End of year info about mylunchmoney.com accounts

(Click here for the AISD menu and pricing.) If you're child is going to buy lunch in the cafeteria, you can supply money (cash only) as you go or have an account with mylunchmoney.com. Parents can supply cash in an envelope labeled with their student's name and teacher and send in your child's folder or drop it directly to the cafeteria line. mylunchmoney.com is a third party service that AISD uses if you would like to regularly put money into an account and allows use of a credit card. With both options, balances will carry over to the next school year. Students enter their student code (cafeteria has) at the end of the line to pay for their lunch. Parent Connection allows parents with Internet access the ability to view assignments, current grades, and attendance of students in grades 3-12.  Parents of students in kindergarten through grade 2 are able to view attendance records and report cards only at this time.  Parents are also able to request a notification by email if their child's attendance or grades drop to a specific threshold.   This new system was piloted in some secondary AISD campuses, but we are now online as a campus for the first time.  Please be patient as our teachers work through any challenges in the system that could affect their grade submittal for viewing.  In addition to working through possible new challenges that the system may pose, many teachers will be moving from the paper gradebooks that they have traditionally used to online submittal of grades throughout the grading period. 

All AISD parents should have received notification via US mail informing you of how to access the service, along with a personal identification number (PIN) number that will enable you to view your child's records. Also, in order to access Parent Connection, you will need to know your student's identification number that is issued through the school district.  This number is not included in the district issued letter, but can be found on your student's report cards.  The student number is the seven-digit number just before the student's name on the report.  If for some reason you cannot find this number, please email your student's teacher and request that they email you back with your student's ID number.

The CAMPUS ADVISORY COUNCIL (CAC)

The Campus Advisory Council is a committee of parents, business and community representatives, teachers, principals, and other campus staff. Specific functions of CACs include providing review and comment on:

• Campus Educational Program
• Campus Performance
• Campus Improvement Plan
• Campus Staff Development Plan
• Campus-Level Waiver Requests to the State
• Campus Budget

The mission of CACs is to promote excellence in education for all students through broad-based representation. CACs advise and provide valuable input to principals, who ultimately have decision-making responsibility for their campuses. The Clayton PTA has 2 representatives on the Clayton CAC, PTA Executive Board members - the PTA President (president@claytoncardinals.org) and the CAC Representative (cacrep@claytoncardinals.org).

SPANISH AT CLAYTON
The Clayton Spanish Program is 100% parent funded and run through the school. The program's continuation each year is based entirely on the receipt of adequate donations to fund instructors and materials. Information and registration forms are distributed through AISD Registration Packets. Please call the office with questions at 841-9200.
