It couldn’t have happened without you!  The Fun Run and Celebration was a great success.  Everyone pulled together and we succeeded in  making this the biggest and best event yet.  There were many hours of planning from our awesome  Fun Run committee and Silent Auction team.  We had event day volunteers that went above what was asked.  I was exhausted at the end of the night but there was a smile on my face.  I am proud to belong to a school that pulled together for a great family friendly event.  We did not just make money for our school, we made memories that will last a lifetime.  My daughter fell in love with the black fuzzy bunny, my son got to be the engineer on the train and my fifth grader felt special to run first with her friends and to hear everyone cheering for them.  Even my 6th grader was happy to pitch in to help just because he is a Clayton Cardinal at heart. 

Thank-you for participating, thank-you for volunteering and thank-you for making Clayton the best!

FROM THE FUNDRAISING VP

I would like to send a huge THANK YOU to the wonderful committee members that worked for months to put together our biggest Fun Run and Celebration. Vicki Muras for the wonderful job on getting us sponsors and also would like to say thank you for your outstanding leadership as PTA president!!

Peggy Vogt- thank you so much for all the hard work with getting food vendors, this was new for us this year and you did an outstanding job. Thank you also to the wonderful ladies on the Food Committee – Mollie Cullinane, Leigh Cox, Lisa Crawford, Jen Monaco, GretA von Paumgartten, Kelly McDonald, and Marimel Ansdell. Everyone did a wonderful job from getting the awesome vendors to spending hours during the event counting tickets.

Debbie Campsmith, Paula Duke, Janine Folliard and Lori Wolfe – Thank you ladies for heading up registration, preparing race bags and helping make the whole Run go smoothly. All of you are outstanding and this event would not be possible without all your hard work and dedication.

Catherine Thurk – Thank you for your vision and excitement with the Celebration, WOW!! it was simply amazing.

To all the volunteers that helped during the event - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. You are truly the reason the Fun Run was a success!! Each and every person that supported the Fun Run, from set-up, to volunteering for a shift, to registering your kiddo and supporting this event, to clean –up, you are all so important to me and the committees. We want to make sure everyone knows just how much we appreciate them, again THANK YOU!!

I look forward to working with everyone again next year to make the 6th Annual Fun Run and Celebration as wonderful as this years!!

FROM THE CELEBRATION COMMITTEE

Our Celebration Committee is so proud and excited to have had such a wonderful fun event for the families at Clayton. We know there are so many people who without you we couldn't have pulled it off.

We would like to express special thanks to Carlos Martinez from Marquee Tents who helped run wiring for all our awesome music around the campus. In addition, his group provided the tents at the starting gate to keep our Cardinals cool. Mr. Guy, we so appreciated your voice, your enthusiasm and song selection! You really know how to get our kids (and parents) grooving and they love you. Frankie Swan and Friends (Frankie's Feathering and Tinsel, (512- 947-8888), a huge thank you for standing all day to make our little girls sparkle. A HUGE thank you to Real Life Austin Church (www.reallifeaustin.org), Micah and Laurie and friends, you all were so valuable in pulling this event off. Thanks for everyone going where we needed people, and positive spirit ALL day long.

Special thanks to Mr. Fanelli, Rick Gonzales, Yan Tokar, and Pete Greenlaw for their efforts in tug-o-war - the kids had so much fun with that!! Also, a big thank you to those who helped with the water wars station - I know it was long and tedious - but the kids had so much fun! Mr. Nunnelee, Ron Stricklin, Brian Vaughan, Jill Tanaka, Kristi Diaz, Chris Reilly, Frances Conlan, Courtney Mitskog, and Marie Monsivais - you all are the BEST balloon tie people ever!! Thank you, Thank you! For our younger helpers from Bowie and Gorzycki who helped with face painting, tattoos, keeping kids in line - many thanks to you! Some special thanks to friends who out of their own kindness of heart or feeling sorry for me, I coerced to helping at activities - Christy Galow, Melissa Lim, Steve Peacock, the Duncan family, Cathy Veri, Kim Merritt, Sarah Ott, Leslie Lewis, Justine Bennett - thank you so much for helping to keep our kids happy and safe. I know there are other I left off - but you aren't forgotten. Thanks for making this a successful event that without your help we couldn't have done. Hope to see everyone (and more) next year!
